I decided to start this blog for two reasons: I love to write and I'm really not an "expert" on anything except my job...something that I've been doing since 2006 and have a solid grasp of. I'm a recruiter. (Catchy blog title, huh?) To be honest, I had no idea what a recruiter did when I was hired with my first company 8 years ago. I just jumped in with both feet - what I'm doing now with this blog, actually. I've learned a lot, dealt with a lot of different people, and managed to help my husband get through school and keep a roof over our heads at the same time. I've helped people find employment that they love and I've encountered some of the strangest situations with true weirdos. The pay is decent and I'm with a company that I love and around coworkers that are part of my extended family. Oh and my boss is great, which is always helpful.
If I can put the knowledge I've gained over the years to good use, why not? Maybe I can help someone out there find a job. Or start looking for a better one. Or just fix the glaring spelling error on their resume. I like to help, so this is my way of doing that. So here goes nothing...
